Sedcard-Shooting: A multifaceted location and top fashion photographer

A suitcase full of make-up, a motivated model, various picture backdrops. For a sedcard shooting with our model Katie, our CM Models team has pulled it near the Rhine. In Deutz, on an office building forecourt, there is a versatile location which is perfectly suited for a multi-faceted sedcard shooting due to its different backdrops. With make-up artist, photographer, model and good weather the shooting could start. Michelle tells you what it looked like behind the scenes during the shooting.

Sedcard shooting: A windy start

It is windy when our CM Models team arrives in Deutz. Our make-up artist Anschi and our model do not let themselves be disturbed by it and start directly with the make-up refreshment. In our studio in the Mediapark we already applied the basic make-up, straightened the hair and tried out the different outfit variations. Our model Katie will first pose in a cheeky, clean outfit: Short shirt, tight blue jeggins and high sandals, optionally with leather jacket in biker style. Our photographer Oli takes the first test photos. The weather is good, there is always the sun between the clouds. One more short brushing of the hair, then we start.

Sedcard obligation: Clean images

Katie poses for the first photos in front of a clean, shiny black wall. This location in Deutz has many facets. Our photographer explains that this versatility is the special thing about the selected location. There are many different possibilities for different image creations. In front of a clean wall, on benches in the green, on futuristic round islands with trees or on the large white stairs with a view of the Rhine and Cologne Cathedral. A new blinking angle: In front of a mirrored house wall or further down, away from the forecourt in front of a somewhat dirty wall, which is ideal for rocking pictures. Katie walks up and down in front of the clean wall, the wind blows through her hair. She does her best, almost every shot a hit. Katie’s intense blue eyes shine and we are thrilled.

Many-Sided: From clean & cheeky to sexy & rocky

The wind is easing, but it’s still cooled off. The next outfit is coming up. The T-shirt is replaced by a long black-transparent blouse with long slits, the blue Jeggins by a black one. Katie’s changing around the corner behind our reflector. She’s cold, her arms get goose bumps, but she’s biting her teeth together. It’s important that she doesn’t show on the pictures. She’s a professional. Our make-up artist builds eye shadow palettes on a wall and provides small hair rubbers. Katie is rocked up, the blue eyes are accentuated by dark smokekey eyes. Her hair draped through large and small braided braids into a sexy mane. Anschi tries hard and after 20 minutes we see the sensational result, WUNDERSCHÖN!

Large image selection – Many viewing angles

Oli’s working on some portrait photos. Katie sits casually on an island and poses. Her looks are strong, she changes her expressions. A sensual look, a clean look, an evil look – Katie offers our photographer a lot. Oli is satisfied, for him a successful shooting, because he does not have to give many instructions: Katie knows what she’s doing. Matching the sexy rocker outfit our team moves to the wicked, stylish and dirty wall. Our model’s black blouse blows in the wind around her slender legs. The nude-coloured lips are slightly open, the blue eyes look challengingly into the camera lens. SEDUCTIVE! The panorama in the background DREAMY. The sun shines through the clouds, the cathedral stands majestically above everything. Oli snaps and it flashes, the capacity of the memory card is soon used up. The sedcard shooting was a success. We have a large selection of pictures from different angles & with different posings for Katie’s sedcard.

Finally, even the photographer is pulled briefly in front of the lens. He wants some snapshots of himself and his muse Katie. Oli’s doing well in front of the camera, he’s got the posing skills. A decisive advantage for a photographer, because he knows exactly what he expects from a model and can also convey and demonstrate the poses exactly. Our make-up artist packs her make-up case, brush by brush. Katie quickly puts on something warmer. We take a quick look at some of the shooting pictures and are delighted. GOOD JOB!
